Identity Theft Cases Doubled from 2019 to 2020, FTC Says A new FTC report shows a 2,920 percent annual increase in identity theft victims reporting their personal data was used to apply for government benefits.


FYI: Computer related scams are definitely on the rise. If anyone calls you without your request saying they are working for Microsoft, hang up. Do not talk to those people, they are trying to talk you into letting the take over your computer and they can steal your identity, your files, encrypt your files and demand ransom mo ey and much more. Nothing good will come out that encounter. Also, they can send emails that trick you into clicking a link that can infect you with a virus or install spyware to capture your passwords. FYI... Microsoft will not call you to tell you your computer will crash and try to get you to allow them to remote into your computer. ITS A SCAM! Please do not allow anyone to talk you into letting them into your computer. I have been getting more and more clients receiving these calls. Just hang up...
