Provide training and administration to CAT I Surface Rescue Swimmers, CAT II Aviation and Surface Rescue Swimmers, and SAR Standardization
Surface Rescue Swimmer School is a voluntary High Risk course designed to provide Navy, USMC (E1-E9), designated Army personnel, and Military Sea Lift Command personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to initially qualify as Search and Rescue Swimmers. Upon completion of this course, the Surface Rescue Swimmer is prepared for assignment with surface units to provide Rescue Swimmer duties.
