🌊Reserve Sailors Strengthen Fleet Readiness During Rota Annual Training
From July 12th–25th, a team of 11 Sailors from CNSG-SE traveled to Rota, Spain to support DESRON 60 and CTF 65 in the U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operations.
These Sailors provided critical support across logistics, maintenance, communications, and maritime operations, showcasing the operational flexibility and value of the Navy Reserve. Their contributions are directly enhancing fleet readiness and reinforcing NATO partnerships in a dynamic and strategically vital region.
Their seamless integration enhances maritime security, supports NATO operations, and reinforces the strength of our global naval presence.

🍀 Senator Ashley Moody stopped by Naval Station Mayport on Friday, July 25, to meet the crew of USS The Sullivans!
The Sullivans recently returned home on Sunday, July 13, after an eight-month deployment that included supporting combat operations in the Red Sea. We're proud of the crew’s service and grateful for the support of leaders like Senator Moody!

🇺🇸 The USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116) is back home at Naval Station Mayport!
⚓️ Departing Feb. 18, 2025, the Thomas Hudner supported a wide range of missions — from strengthening maritime security in the Caribbean and conducting freedom of navigation operations off the coast of Cuba, to executing high-end joint exercises with NATO Allies across the North Atlantic and Mediterranean.
🌊 The ship worked closely with naval forces from the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Greece, taking part in Formidable Shield 2025, a major NATO integrated air and missile defense exercise. Thomas Hudner also played a key role in Operation Cobalt Shield in the Eastern Mediterranean, showcasing U.S. capabilities in missile defense and regional stability.
🫡 While deployed, the ship welcomed several distinguished visitors, including the Secretary of Defense and senior military leaders from the U.S. and Allied forces, a testament to the ship’s role as a key player in advancing maritime partnerships.
This successful deployment once again highlights the Navy’s global reach, operational versatility, and commitment to securing the seas. Welcome home to the incredible crew of USS Thomas Hudner!

☀️CNSG-SE Summer Picnic☀️
On Friday, July 18, Naval Surface Group Southeast gathered for a command summer picnic — a day full of fun, food, and connection!
Sailors and their families enjoyed a cookout, bounce house, dunk tank, and plenty of memories making it a perfect summer afternoon.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it a great day!

⚓️ Supporting the Fleet, Strengthening the Connection ⚓️
Sailors from Navy Reserve Commander, Naval Surface Group Southeast (NR CNSG SE) -EN2 Joseph Woodard, MN2 Santiago Garcia, OS3 Aaliyah McDaniel, and MMFN Patrick Odimula- are hard at work aboard USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) during their Annual Training.
These Sailors are playing a vital role in installing Starlink internet, directly supporting a top priority from the ship’s CO and CMC to improve connectivity and boost morale for Sailors at sea.
