Happy National Donut Day! 🍩

Rumor has it Krispy Kreme is giving away a free donut today… and Dunkin may be offering a free donut with a coffee purchase. We can neither confirm nor deny that this is why our office is closed but it seems like the Daniel team is making the most of this Friday off.

We will be open Monday, June 8th with normal hours.

No matter where you celebrate, we hope your Friday is sprinkled with something sweet!

Thank you to Kurt Rogers II for coming back to our residential campus this summer to teach our students the power of breath! As a Breathwork Instructor, he shows how something as natural as breathing can bring energy, focus and calm into our lives. It is truly powerful and meaningful for our vulnerable youth - it's a way to calm their minds and reset their nervous systems.

Not only did they help collect much-needed items to stock our shelves, but this was also a great way to earn community service hours for programs like Bright Futures.

Today we kick off our Back-to-School & Hygiene Drive! 🎒🧴

From June 1 – July 31, we’ll be collecting donations at our Southpoint office to help send the kids and teens we serve back to school with the essentials they need to feel confident and prepared.

School is out for Summer and our warehouse is empty! Please consider donating to our Summer Activity Drive to help keep the kids in our care happy, engaged, and busy this summer.

School’s out and summer is here! ☀️ For many kids, that means vacations, camps, pool days, and time with friends.

But for many of the children and families in our care, summer can also bring added stress — including food insecurity, fewer routines, childcare challenges, and increased mental health needs.

At Daniel, support doesn’t stop when school ends. Our team works all summer long to help kids feel safe, supported, engaged, and cared for through counseling, case management, activities, essential items, and compassionate care.

As we celebrate the start of summer, thank you for continuing to support children and families in crisis throughout our community. 💙

Our Employee Relations Committee recently hosted an Art Night for staff—an opportunity to unwind, have fun, and spend time together outside of the day-to-day. At Daniel, we believe supporting our team matters, and moments like these remind us that we’re more than coworkers—we’re a family.
