UCOM's Summer Nutrition program began this week! Thank you to Deerwood Rotary who has been funding this program since 2013! Thanks to you we have been able to keep serving kids healthy groceries and lunches during the summer.

Special thanks to RF-SMART and our summer high school volunteers as well for running the program this week and preparing our food demo, which shows off the health benefits of using tomatoes in our meals!
This summer is going to be a blast! Stay tuned to see what's on the plate next week.

UCOM is lucky that we have so many founders and original partners still involved in our mission! Earlier this week we got to see Reverend Roosevelt Marell and his wife Carol Marell who were involved in the creation and formalization of UCOM's services back in 1979, thanks for stopping by!

New food distribution times for active-duty military families in need! Thank you for your service 🇺🇸🍎🍊

Food Farmacy Update: Our Military Affairs and Veterans Department with Feeding Northeast Florida announce new times for both Food Farmacy locations:

🥪 NAS Jacksonville: Now from 9am to 11am on the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month at 5391 Collins Rd. The next food distribution is this Thursday, June 4th.

🥣 Naval Station Mayport: Now from 9am to 11am on the 2nd and 4th Thursday each month at 390 Mayport Rd. The next food distribution at this location is Thursday, June 11th.
