Introducing UCOM's Batch Meal Preparation Classes! 🍽🍎

UCOM is expanding opportunities for seniors through this new service underneath our Nutritionally Secure Seniors Program.

With support through a strategic investment from Baptist Health Jacksonville , this service is helping more seniors access nutritious meals while strengthening community health and well-being. In these classes they will prepare healthy batch meals for themselves and those who cannot attend, build stronger connections with their neighbors, and receive nutrition education!

We are so thankful for our partnership with the American Heart Association! Thanks to them we were able to have blood pressure machines at our Senior Nutrition Food Distribution earlier this week! Staying healthy doesn't just mean eating healthy but staying alert and taking care of our body, thank you again AHA!

This week's Summer Nutrition Lunch Distribution was 🍐incomPEARable!🍐Thank you to the RF-SMART and teen volunteers who made it possible, both prepping the food, educating, and actually distributing! This week we learned about different ways your family can use pears!
Did you know that pears are filled with fiber, vitamins, antioxidants, and they promote heart health!? Now you do!
