From killer clowns to poison ivy clues, Crime and Coffee, Halloween Edition had it all! Teams worked together to solve increasingly more difficult puzzles to get the required code to unlock the evidence locker and dig into their case with the goal of figuring out the details of their crime. The winning team, who came closest to figuring out what happened, was chosen by a jury of their peers. This brings the season of Crime and Coffee 2026 to a close. Be on the lookout for a new season beginning in February of 2027.

We started off this morning with some Winnie the Pooh bingo! We picked from the Hunny Jar to decide what our round of bingo would be-such as 4 corners. The kids enjoyed a sweet snack of graham crackers and honey and cupcakes. Then they had lots of fun activities to try like Tigger's Bouncing game with hoola hoops, guess how many honeycomb cereal pieces were in the jar, and more! Thanks to Growing Success Bee Company for the piece of real honeycomb we had on display to see.

After a crime has been committed, the police own the crime scene, but the coroner owns the body. In Crime and Coffee Behind the Crime Scene, it was our pleasure to have Katie Schuck, the Dubois County Coroner, join us to debunk Hollywood myths and explain the exact process and procedures done from the crime scene through the autopsy. Interested in true crime? Join us for the next Crime and Coffee event Tuesday night at 6:00.
