Join us in giving a big congratulations to the Dial family as we welcome the newest member of Precinct 2, Harper Mae.
From our employee John and his wife Haylee, Harper made her grand entrance on May 21st, 2026 at 11:12 AM, weighing 9.2 lbs and measuring 21 inches long.

TxDOT will be holding a public hearing on April 23, 2026 from 5pm-7pm at the Brookeland HS cafeteria. This hearing is regarding the Highway 96 widening project from 255 to Loop 149.

Asphalt plant is having issues with their mixer. We had to reschedule the asphalt application for Monday, March 23rd. Thank you all and please plan on delays.

Precinct 2 crew will begin prep work on County Road 219 “Lakeland Addition” in Brookeland today and tomorrow. Wednesday we will be laying asphalt. Expect some delays and plan accordingly and we appreciate your patience.

Precinct 2 crew and Commissioner Holloway were out all day Sunday clearing roads and moving debris all across the precinct. Several large trees were cut and moved out of the roadways in both Jasper and Brookeland area. Our crew is out checking areas this morning and are ready to answer the call. Precinct 2 crew is ready to answer the call! We have laid material down on bridges that pose a freeze threat, chainsaws are ready, and equipment is ready to mobilize.
