🌱 Did you know that your library card can help you enjoy the great outdoors even more? You may be surprised to learn you can check out hands-on tools to help you further explore nature!

🐦 Willow Springs Public Library provides two metal detectors for check out: one for adults and one for kids. Patrons can also check out bird-watching kits with binoculars and identification guides from the Missouri Department of Conservation to spot nearby native birds.

🎣 At Louisiana Public Library, patrons can borrow fishing poles to cast line after line in Missouri rivers and streams.

🔥 At Daviess County Library, patrons can check out a portable co****le set and marshmallow roasting sticks for outdoor gatherings with loved ones.

📣DATABASE UPDATE📣

The Supreme Court of Missouri Historical Records database was recently updated with indexes to case files processed by our 2024 and 2025 summer interns. These 237 cases and 1,658 names primarily document cases from the October 1878 and April 1879 Supreme Court Terms, although a few 1876 and 1877 cases were included.

The database now contains over 15,000 cases, and covers 1821-1878 with partial indexing up to 1889.
