A Special Visit from Author Michael Shoulders!

Our students had the exciting opportunity to welcome author Michael Shoulders to our school! During his visit, Mr. Shoulders shared his love of reading, writing, and storytelling while introducing students to some of his wonderful books.

Students also got a behind-the-scenes look at how a book is created, learning how an idea grows into a story and eventually becomes a published book. Mr. Shoulders encouraged our students to use their creativity, explore their own ideas, and discover the joy that can be found in reading and writing.

We are so thankful to Michael Shoulders for spending time with our students and providing such a fun, educational, and inspiring experience. What a wonderful way to encourage our young readers and future authors!

College Application & Exploration Week Was a HUGE Success!

What an exciting week of learning, dreaming, and exploring future possibilities! Our College Application & Exploration Week was filled with fun and meaningful experiences for our students from Kindergarten through 5th grade.

We enjoyed fun college-themed dress-up days throughout the week!
Mrs. Byrd, our School Counselor, visited our K–5 students and led engaging lessons that introduced them to college, careers, majors, and the many possibilities waiting for them in the future.
Students also learned fun facts about the colleges and universities our teachers and staff attended, showing them that there are so many different paths they can take after high school.

Even though college may seem far away for our elementary students, it’s never too early to encourage them to dream big, explore their interests, set goals, and believe in their future!

Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, and students for making College Application & Exploration Week such a success! We loved seeing our students excited about all the possibilities ahead of them.

Today’s little learners are tomorrow’s college students, career professionals, leaders, and change makers!
