YOUR vote counts!

ALERT! There are posts all over facebook that "I am a poll worker and just finished training and beware marks or initials on your voting ballot as it will keep your ballot from being counted".

Reuters Fact Check says "Misleading. Any writing or stray mark on a ballot does not make it invalid unless it compromises the secrecy of the ballot or triggers an apparent over-vote, according to the chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission."

Some states require poll workers to put their initials in the upper right corner of the outside envelope. What to watch for is a mark on your ballot bar code, which will make that ballot not read by the voting machine.

Please Fact Check before posting a false narrative.
