Good Morning friends, I am trying to put this information on loop so there are no surprises next Monday. This area could be closed for a week as we install the pipe. We will work diligently to get it open as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help in sharing this..

Good afternoon friends, we hope all of you are finding yourself well.

Jeffersontown has had a very unusual year with the rainfall amount, I think we met our quota months ago ha. That being said, very important with all of the heavy torrential downpours we have gotten, please check your drainage easements, catchbasin around your property. Lots of debris have flowed to them, sticks, leaves, grass clippings. Please make sure they are free of all and open to collect the water run off.

Also, very important to keep yards clear of any fluids you may store, loose piles of dirt, and dog waste cleaned. We want to always keep our water ways free and clear of any storm pollution that ends up in our water ways.

Thanks for your time and help with this matter

Today we will wrap up National Public Works appreciation week, reality is, this is just a week of exposure when we all truly appreciate the men and women of this career each and every day.

Public works is the heartbeat of the city. From infrastructure, roadways, sidewalks, drainage, trees 100's of acres of grass being mowed along with miles of roadways being mowed, parks properties, maintenance of all facilities, miles of ditches being weedeated, snow removal, a shop that maintaines roughly 470 vehicles and equipment, you name it they do it.

The way we are set up, we do not have 2nd or 3rd shifts, this team responds around the clock 365 days a year. They are ready to respond at a moments notice. It takes great integrity,.sacrifice and dedication, they do it with pride.

We as a team want to recognize our Mayor Carol Pike for the true love and support she has for our team. As we respond to emergencies she too no matter the hour is right there with us, bringing food and drink to the crews and to check on us. We have to add she also has an assistant that is normally right beside her in these events Kim Pike Wiseman,
Mayor, we thank you for always believing and supporting our needs everyday.

To my team, I am a blessed man to have each of you, you make me look like a rock star. The pride. Skill and love you bring to the table is second to none!! We all are family, I am a better man for having each of you in my life and on my team.

Enjoy your long weekend, it is very well deserved, love you team JPW!!

Good afternoon friends, please help spread the word, if you travel Moser road from Jtown at all, you will need to learn the detour. This is a KYTC and Metro project.

Thanks for your help

Jeffersontown Residents,

Metro Louisville Public Works Department of Transportation (DOT) has informed us that Moser Road, between Grandin Wood Road and Watterson Trail, will be closed to the public beginning Monday, June 1, 2026, with a proposed completion day of Friday, July 3, 2026. (weather permitting). This closure will facilitate the construction of an extended right turn lane onto Watterson Trail.

The City of Jeffersontown has not been involved in the design or any facet of this project. This is a Louisville Metro Public Works DOT project.

Unfortunately, it is going to cause people delays and extra travel time. Please plan your trips accordingly.

The Project Manager for the project is Teresa Cowherd from the Louisville Metro Public Works DOT and she can be reached at [email protected] or day phone (502) 574.5931.

Good afternoon friends, we hope you're enjoying this beautiful day.

I want to give everyone a notice, starting tonight, we are paving Bluegrass Pkwy from Blankenbaker Pkwy toward Tucker Station. With the milling and paving, this should be completed Friday night. I know rain is in the forecast toward the end of the week, that could delay it a day or 2.

Adjust your schedule a few minutes if you work in this area.
They will only be working through the night to help with traffic, starting at 7pm.

If you work in the area, please spread word to others.

Thanks all
