It was another great day to fish the river and raise some money for WHAS Crusade for Children. Russ Gates and Jeremy Case took home the win with 9.11lbs. Rick Baker and Derek Clarkson came in with a “HUGE” 4.81lb Largemouth and won the big bass pot. Thanks to everyone who came out today and participated. Our next tournament is in two weeks on November 7th

We had a great start to this year’s Jeffersonville Fire Departments Crusade for Children tournaments.

Jeremy Case and Russ Gates took the win with 7.25lbs

Pittman and Dowell took home the big bass pot with 2.71lb bass, but it wasn’t enough to take the progressive pot so it carry’s over to the next tournament.

Our next tournament will be in two weeks on Saturday October 24th

After speaking with Mallory Schnell at WHAS 11 and getting a detailed weather forecast the tournament is a go for tomorrow.

If you look at the bottom of the scale in purple, that is the wind speeds and times for tomorrow. Looks like winds will be coming in from the ESE 5-10 mph in the morning, up to 10-15 mph for the afternoon. Highest gusts arrive closer to sunset.

I will be there to start sign ups and chip draw starting at 6am. Safe light has been around 7:15. Hope to see everyone there.

We are currently in talks with WHAS meteorologist about Saturdays forecast. Once we get a detailed forecast for Saturdays tournament in regards to wind and wind gust, we will make an official decision by 3pm tomorrow. 

Our first Tournament is this coming Saturday October the 10th!!! Weather is looking good for the day. Please share.

We are excited to have another great year of collecting for the Crusade for Children. Last year the Jeffersonville Fire Department collected over $82,000. Remember 100% of all money collected goes to help children in our community. So let’s kick the 2027 collections off and go fishing.
