Thank you to our Transportation Dept.!!!
This week is National School Bus Safety Week, and we want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on our incredible Transportation Department and school bus drivers!🌟
🚌 Chilton County currently has 112 routes and transports around 3600 students twice a day.
Every single day, our dedicated bus drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, and support staff work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our students travel to and from school safely. Rain or shine, early mornings or late afternoons, their commitment to safety, care, and excellence never wavers.
💛 Did You Know? School buses remain the safest mode of student transportation on the road! But safety is a shared responsibility across our entire community.
🚗 How You Can Help Keep Students Safe:
1️⃣ Stop for Red Flashing Lights: Always stop when a school bus activates its red lights and extended stop arm—it means students are boarding or exiting.
2️⃣ Slow Down in School Zones: Watch your speed near schools and bus stops.
3️⃣ Stay Alert & Avoid Distractions: Keep eyes on the road and put away mobile devices when driving near school buses or bus stops.
💛 Please join us in sending a HUGE THANK YOU to our transportation team for everything they do to keep our kids safe every day!
👉🏻 We’re always looking for members to join our team– visit our website to fill out a substitute application or watch for driver openings!
