Our area will be hit with a blizzard tomorrow into Monday. Visibility will be minimal with very hazardous road conditions. Stay home if you can.
Our members will be standing by in quarters throughout the duration of the storm to ensure a timely response to all emergencies.
As always, we ask that you clear hydrants of snow, ice, and any other obstructions. Also please yield to any responding emergency vehicles by pulling to the right and coming to a complete stop.

π¨ WINTER STORM ALERT β THIS WEEKEND π
A significant winter storm is forecasted for late Saturday night into Sunday, with heavy snow accumulations expected across Long Island. Please plan ahead, limit unnecessary travel, and use extreme caution if you must be out on the roads.
π§― IMPORTANT REMINDER β FIRE HYDRANTS
As snow piles up, please take a few minutes to clear snow and ice from fire hydrants near your home or business.
β Clear a 3-foot radius around the hydrant
β Clear a path from the street
β Remove snow from the caps and operating nut
In an emergency, every second counts β a buried hydrant can delay lifesaving response.
π Thank you for helping us keep our community safe and for looking out for your neighbors.
Stay warm, stay safe,
Jericho Fire Department πβοΈ
