The Hudson County Register’s Office proudly recognizes Italian Heritage Month, celebrating the generations of Italian Americans whose hard work, traditions, and contributions have helped shape our communities and our nation. This month is an opportunity to honor our roots, preserve our cultural heritage, and pass these traditions on to future generations.

As we celebrate the values of family, community, and perseverance that are at the heart of Italian culture, we are reminded that our heritage is something to be proud of and share.

“La famiglia è tutto.”
Family is everything.

Mental Health Awareness Week is an important reminder that taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it’s okay to ask for help. This week, take a moment to check in with yourself and the people around you.

Here are a few simple ways to support your mental well-being:
• Make time for rest and activities you enjoy
• Get outside and stay active when you can
• Stay connected with friends, family, and your community
• Set healthy boundaries and give yourself time to recharge
• Talk to someone you trust when you’re struggling
• Reach out to a mental health professional when you need additional support

Resources are available:
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. You can also visit 988lifeline.org for additional support and resources.

You are not alone. Checking in, speaking up, and asking for help can make a difference.
