Two survivors of wrongful death row convictions — Sunny Jacobs (USA) and Peter Pringle (Ireland) — found each other, fell in love, and turned their combined trauma into a lifeline for others. Together they built the Sunny Centers, which are dedicated to helping fellow exonerees heal from the devastating trauma of wrongful imprisonment. This is a story of love, forgiveness, and the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.

Join us for a free screening of this extraordinary documentary film, followed by a talkback with director Mark McLoughlin and Meredith Kennedy of the Innocence Project.

We hosted a little get together last night to thank our donors and partners who support the mission of the Barrow Mansion. It was great to meet some of our supporters and thank them in person. Big thanks to for making the evening extra special!

Our Mayor-elect stopped by the Barrow Mansion/Van Vorst Neighborhood Association annual Holiday Party. Every year, Barrow and host this free event as our gift to the neighborhood. This year, we had performances by and the . It’s one of our favorite events of the season because it’s our chance to connect and thank the friends and neighbors who make JC a great place to live. We hope everyone attended had a wonderful time!

Burnout in partnership with Barrow Mansion present: “Hannah Burke and Hayworth: A Dual Record Release”. Come out and celebrate two incredible Jersey City based musicians, Hannah Burke and Hayworth, as they each release new music! Both of these talented artists fall into the singer-songwriter genre, with Hannah Burke’s sound combining folk and country to provide a fun spin on love songs and Hayworth’s sound drawing influence from genres such as Americana and rock. They will be supported by Rafsdeli, another singer-songwriter who mixes organic sounds with that sub-low end feeling. Don’t miss out on catching these accomplished artists on November 22, 2025 at 7:00 pm. The show is $15 via # #ʟɪɴᴋɪɴʙɪᴏ or at the door!
