Friends of Pavonia Marion Park will be holding its nonprofit formation meeting via zoom on Tuesday, September 15 at 8:00 PM, and you have been invited to participate. We have some great news to announce!
"Residents can anticipate visible work throughout the city beginning this spring on the following parks: . . . Pavonia-Marion Park – $500,000 to build fencing for easier access, expand the playground, resurface the basketball courts, replace bleachers and fix the cement pavement elevation, as well as add landscaping, trees, benches, picnic tables, chess tables, a water fountain, multipurpose use for Martucci Field, and a dog park."

Jersey City invests $3 million on widespread Park Improvements

This is great news for our neighborhood! We look forward to having a 3-acre park for the whole community in the future as the City takes on the responsibility to demolish the current building and build an amazing park, after the new court house is built. New park coming to Journal Square as part of justice complex plan
Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and Jersey City Mayor Steven M. Fulop today announced a partnership to create a new approximately 3-acre public park in Journal Square.

Open Space Fund application has been submitted! Friends of Pavonia-Marion Park is requesting that Jersey City make some much needed improvements to our park. Thank you very much to Councilman Boggiano, Journal Square Community Association, PS 23, TECCS Family School Association, SID, and Marion Block Association for your letters of support.
And a special thanks to Canco Park Conservancy for all their wisdom in helping us get this started.
Stay tuned until November 15 to see if our application moves on to the next round.
