The Young Adult Ministry of Jersey City First Wesleyan Church consists of members who ambitiously seek to move beyond the surface of religion and experience a love relationship with God that comes through salvation and obedience to His will. In our pursuit of Him, it is our hearts’ desires to remain in Christ as He remains in us by spending time with Him in prayer and the study of the Word of God. We acknowledge the need for unity as our individual weaknesses become strengths and edification takes place in joining with our brothers and sisters. The joys of fellowship are also made known when we worship with one another and those of other churches and ministries. We also strive to represent Christ in our daily living in a way that is worthy and pleasing to Him. Knowing the effect our actions have on those who do and do not believe, we desire to live so the people we encounter can clearly see the light of Christ shining in the choices we make and the examples we set. We feel and act on the urgency to reach the lost, the hurting, and the confused and present to them the opportunity to receive and know their Creator. We declare it our mission to spread the gospel to bring reconciliation to those who have strayed away as well as those who have never heard the good news of Christ.
