The Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy is excited to announce that as part of our Powerhouse Pub Crawl event on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2-6pm, ArtWall JC will exhibit special Powerhouse-themed art in its boutique gallery space at Powerhouse, one of the stops on the crawl.
Stages of Transitions is organized by curator Kati Vilim and features stunning work by Jersey City-based artist .The artist will be present during Saturday’s pub crawl to discuss how Jersey City’s iconic Powerhouse inspired her visions of urban landscapes. Link in bio for Pub Crawl tickets!

It’s the last week of National Historic Preservation Month, and what a month it’s been! And maybe we saved our best events for last?
Saturday May 30 11am 🗓️
Lafayette Neighborhood Black Heritage Trail Walking Tour
Jerome Choice — an esteemed urban historian, Museum of Jersey City History board member, and longtime community advocate — hosts an enriching, emotional, and personal journey, highlighting the Lafayette neighborhood’s deep Black history and his life-long experiences growing up and living there. Tickets free when you RSVP.
Saturday May 30 2pm 🗓️
Join the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy for an afternoon of Hudson & Manhattan Railroad Powerhouse history, trivia, drinks, and mocktails as we make stops at participating venues while touring the Powerhouse arts, residential, and commercial business district! Ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase specially priced beverages and bites at each stop, while supplies last!
From 2-4pm, participants can join the JCLC-guided Save the Powerhouse Walking Tour with stops at all pub crawl sites, where guides will share Powerhouse trivia with Powerhouse historians!
Self-guided hours to each establishment are 2-6pm. To receive the pub crawl discount on certain beverages, participants must show proof-of-ticket purchase on their phones.

National Historic Preservation Month continues with two exciting tours scheduled for this SATURDAY MAY 9.
For both tours, join architectural historian and preservation activist John Gomez for historic explorations of either Van Vorst Park or Hamilton Park, or join us for both!
Van Vorst Park Historic District, an architectural showcase in Downtown Jersey City defined by tree-lined streetscapes of 19th-century brownstones, townhouses, tenements, storefronts, clubhouses, and houses of worship from 12-2pm.
Hamilton Park Historic District, an architectural showcase in Downtown Jersey City defined by tree-lined streetscapes of 19th-century brownstones, brick townhouses, courtyard mews, tenement buildings, houses of worship, and bold new construction that compliments the area’s architectural heritage from 2:30-4:30pm.

What a wonderful way to close out Earth Month and welcome Historic Preservation Month! 🌿
Yesterday, the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy joined the Earth Day Celebration in Lincoln Park, where we connected with community members about the important relationship between sustainability and historic preservation.
We were excited to share information about our upcoming historic walking tours in celebration of Historic Preservation Month throughout May, and loved meeting so many residents passionate about Jersey City’s history, architecture, and future.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table — and to the organizers for bringing the community together in celebration of our shared environment and heritage. 🌎🏛️
