The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
program honors the contributions of immigrants and children of immigrants to the United States. Each year, they invest in the graduate education of 30 New Americans, immigrants and children of immigrants, who are poised to make significant contributions to US society, culture, or their academic field. Each Fellow receives up to $90,000 in financial support over two years and joins a lifelong community of New American Fellows. Applications are due by October 27, 2022.

We join the world in mourning the death of Dr. Paul Farmer. Our hearts go out to his family, colleagues and friends. We thank you for your work, your service and your legacy.
Dr. Paul Farmer, global health giant, dies at 62 Dr. Paul Farmer, a physician who championed global health and sought to bring modern medical science to those most in need around the world, died unexpectedly in his sleep in Rwanda on Monday, according to Partners in Health, the nonprofit organization he founded. He was 62.

We saddened to hear of the passing of Rev. Dr. Lemaire Alerte, pastor of the Haitian Evangelical Church of Jesus Christ in Jersey City and and our 2014 Francoise I. Casseus Leadership Award honoree. Our prayers and love go out to his family, friends and his congregation. He will be missed!
