Setting the standard from day one. 🇺🇸💪

Before even receiving their unit patches, two young Soldiers were already going above and beyond!

At just 21 years old, SPC Franklin Cretsinger completed Ranger School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, and the Rappel Master Course.

At 22 years old, SPC Colin Winborn completed both Ranger School and Airborne School.

What makes their accomplishments even more impressive? Both Soldiers achieved these milestones within their first year of military service.

Their determination, discipline, and drive to challenge themselves exemplify what it means to lead from the front.

25 years later, we remember.

We remember those who began an ordinary morning at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and never made it home. We remember those aboard the four flights, the first responders who ran toward danger, the passengers and crew of Flight 93 who demonstrated extraordinary courage, and our brothers and sisters in arms who lost their lives that day.

We also honor the countless Americans who answered the call to serve in the days and years that followed.

For the National Guard, that call continues. Today’s Soldiers and Airmen carry forward a legacy built by those who stepped up when our Nation needed them most. We honor their legacy through how we serve today, remaining ready to serve our communities, defend our homeland and answer whenever America calls.

We remember. We honor. We remain ready.
