Know the Signs of Domestic Violence!

Abuse isn’t always physical. Some warning signs can include:

💜 Extreme jealousy or possessiveness
💜 Constant calls, texts, or monitoring
💜 Isolation from friends and family
💜 Controlling money or finances
💜 Insults, threats, or intimidation
💜 Blaming you for their behavior

Recognizing the signs can be the first step toward getting help or supporting someone you care about.

🍁Join us for a fun filled fall day!!

🚒 Fire Station Open House 1:00 - 3:30pm - the station will be open at during this time for a tour, a chance to see the trucks and equipment up close, meet our firefighters, learn fire prevention

🎃Halloween Family Movie 3:30 - 5:30pm - the classic family movie Halloween Town will start at 3:45 in our Scalp Ave. Banquet Hall located behind the station.
We will have popcorn, treats and beverages.
Please bring a blanket to sit on!

👻Come in costume for some Halloween fun! Both events are free! Join us for one or both!

Join Victim Services, Inc. and the Johnstown Tomahawks on Saturday, October 17, for the Purple Out Game in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

Wear your purple, cheer on the Tomahawks, and stand with survivors. We’re also collecting leggings so bring a pair to donate!

Together, we can build a stronger community for a safer tomorrow.

You may not know who is experiencing domestic violence.

It could be the person sitting beside you at work, the neighbor you see every morning, or the friend who always says they're "fine".

Domestic violence doesn't always look the way we expect it to. Sometimes, the most important thing we can do is listen without judgement, offer support, and let someone know we are there when they are ready.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, be the person someone knows they can turn to.
