The Dale Borough Volunteer Fire Company would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made our Community Day & Rubber Duck Race such a great day!

First and foremost, THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY! ❤️

Whether you bought a duck, grabbed some food, played a game, supported one of our vendors, entered the basket raffle, or simply stopped by to spend the day with us — every bit of support means so much to our department.

We also want to thank all of our vendors who joined us for the day and helped make Community Day even better!

A huge thank you goes to our fire company volunteers who put in countless hours planning, preparing, setting up, working throughout the day, and cleaning up afterward. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without your dedication.

We are proud to serve Dale Borough and incredibly thankful for the continued support you show your 100% volunteer fire company.

STORM RESPONSE UPDATE

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, the Greater Johnstown area experienced a severe storm that impacted much of the region, including Dale Borough.

During the storm, members of the Dale Borough Volunteer Fire Company responded to several emergency incidents throughout the Borough, including a transformer fire, a child stuck in a vehicle, a roof blown off a building, and multiple trees and debris blocking roadways.

At this time, a tree remains across Messenger Street. Unfortunately, we are still at the mercy of the utility companies and must wait for their crews to safely remove and secure the affected utility lines before the tree can be cut up and removed.

Until that work is completed, we are asking residents and motorists to please avoid Messenger Street and use an alternate route.

Your volunteer firefighters worked tirelessly throughout the storm and its aftermath to help keep our community safe. We are proud to be there when our neighbors need us, but we can always use more help.

The Dale Borough Volunteer Fire Company is always looking for new members. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering and giving back to your community, we encourage you to reach out and learn how you can become part of our team.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, support, and cooperation as the remaining storm damage is addressed.

🏆 1st Place for Dale Borough! 🚒

The members of the Dale Borough Volunteer Fire Company proudly participated in the 105th Annual Cambria County Regional Firefighter's Association Convention Parade, joining fire departments from across the region in celebrating the fire service and the tradition of the annual convention.

We are honored to announce that our Attack 4 brought home the gold!🥇1st Place – Best Appearing & Equipped Specialty Unit!

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers who spend countless hours maintaining our apparatus so it is always ready to serve the residents of Dale Borough and our neighboring communities.

Congratulations to all of our members who represented the department so well, and thank you to everyone who supports the Dale Borough Volunteer Fire Company throughout the year. Your continued encouragement and support help make achievements like this possible.
