🚒❤️ A BIG THANK YOU FROM JONES FIRE DEPARTMENT! ❤️🚒
We came back to the station today to find a very thoughtful surprise waiting for our firefighters — water, Powerade, and snacks! 🙌
We may not know who left these goodies, but we want you to know just how much we appreciate your kindness and support. Little things like this mean a LOT to our volunteers, especially when they’re out serving our community.
From all of us at Jones Fire Department — THANK YOU! 🧑‍🚒🔥
Your support helps keep our firefighters going! ❤️

Super proud of our crews today. Not only did they mitigate one aggresive wildfire today, but a second fire was dispatched as we were getting trucks cleaned up and back in service. Firefighters battled flames upwards of 40 feet tall when cedar trees exploded. Our crews work quickly and efficiently to protect structures, people, livestock, and land.
This heat is taking a toll on our guys. We are extremely thankful for SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest setting up rehab stations so we can get cooled off and hydrated. Also our dispatchers at Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. They do a phenomenal job taking care of the logistics for us. Also, our mutual aid partners.

We would not have been able to achieve today what we did without their help.
As always, if you see flames, call 911 immediately.

🚨🔥 BURN BAN EXTENDED — ANOTHER 14 DAYS! 🔥🚨

Well folks… apparently Mother Nature has decided Oklahoma needs a little more time in the “crispy” department. 🥵🌾

The County Burn Ban has been extended for another 14 days, and we’ve definitely been staying busy helping our neighbors. We’re always glad to lend a hand, but we’d much rather be sitting around the station telling bad firefighter jokes than chasing grass fires! 🚒😂

PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!
It is EXTREMELY DRY out there. If you’re doing anything outside that could create heat, sparks, or flames, take extra precautions. A little spark may look harmless, but in these conditions it can turn into a BIG problem in a hurry. 🔥💨

🚫 No burning
🚫 No “controlled” fires
🚫 No tossing cigarette butts
🚫 No thinking, “It’ll probably be fine.” 😬

Help us help you — stay safe, stay smart, and keep the flames where they belong… in the grill! 🍔🔥

Chief Nelson has made the decision to postpone the Jones Fire Department’s Annual Hydrant Flow Testing while our area remains under a burn ban.

At this time, we believe it is more important to prioritize our water supply and preserve water reserves rather than use additional water for hydrant testing.

The testing will be rescheduled for a later date this year, and we will keep residents informed as soon as a new date is selected.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue working to make the best decisions for the safety and needs of our community.

Moving Jones forward, together.💚🚒

On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the Jones Fire Department will be conducting its annual fire hydrant flow testing throughout the community.

This important testing helps ensure our hydrants are operating properly and providing adequate water flow when firefighters need them most. 🔥

While testing is underway, residents may notice water flowing from hydrants in different areas of Town. Please use caution if you encounter crews working near the roadway and give them plenty of room to safely complete their work.

Thank you for your patience as JFD works to keep Jones prepared and our community safe! ❤️🚒
