*******REMINDER**SCAM**REMINDER*****

This is a reminder of the phone scam that happens every day. The Craighead County Sheriff's Office DOES NOT CALL and ask for payments for fines or warrants over the phone. We do not call to advise you that you missed a court date or that you have a warrant that needs to be taken care of. If someone calls and advises they are with the sheriff's office and it is not related to an investigation, and proceeds to ask for payment, IT IS A SCAM!!!!!

Craighead County’s Operation Sentinel

On September 22nd, Craighead County Deputies, as well as the Jonesboro Police Department, Arkansas Probation and Parole, and Homeland Security launched Operation Sentinel. The word Sentinel can be described as a guard, lookout, or a person stationed to keep watch and prevent attacks. The goal of this operation was to ensure the s*x offenders were in compliance with all s*x offender registry requirements, and no new offenses were being committed.
Over a three-day operation, contact was made with 85 s*x offenders living inside Craighead County. 20 S*x Offenders were found out of compliance and arrested for Failure to Register.

SGT Mandi Smyth planned, coordinated, and executed the operation, ensuring all personnel and resources were properly organized, making it a HUGE success!!

The Craighead County Sheriff's Office is very proud to have people on our team that cares about the safety of children in our community and work diligently to keep offenders in compliance.
