Happy Boss's Day to our awesome boss, Jim Stearns!🎉💚

In honor of Boss's Day, I have decided to share a few fun facts about the man behind it all:)

🛝 Says "every day is a great day in parks" at least 3 times a day. (100% true. I can hear it through our shared office wall).

🍬 He actually likes conversation heart candies...like, as in, he willingly eats them! (I just can't get behind this one Jim. It's like eating chalk).

🌳 Could talk about Craighead Forest Park all day, every day.
(It's like his version of Narnia).

🧠 Makes time management and productivity decisions based on the Eisenhower Matrix. (I'm not going to lie; I had to Google what this is).

🦮 Goes on adventures with Lucky Dog. (Photographic evidence can be found on Lucky Dog’s page).

🏈 Currently 4-0 in our weekly college football pick'ems!
(Well… technically 4-1 now, but I refuse to count last week. That was totally pass interference.)

All jokes aside, we’re lucky to have a boss who’s passionate about our parks, dedicated to our community, and makes coming to work a little more fun. 💚

Happy Boss’s Day, Jim!🎉

💗Hope Grows Here💗

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Jonesboro Parks & Recreation is joining the movement to spread awareness! From Craighead Forest Park to the Jonesboro Youth Center, Shooting Sports Complex, and Parks & Rec Admin Office, our team is wearing pink to recognize those affected by breast cancer.

This month, we encourage our community to learn about breast cancer, stay informed about screenings, and show kindness to those impacted. Together, we can help grow hope right here in Jonesboro. 🫶🦋
