When the dam in Forsyth, MO was constructed in the early 1900s, it created a 24-mile reservoir named Lake Taneycomo. More than a century later, keeping the lake clear, clean, and beautiful remains important for our team at the Ozark Beach Hydroelectric Plant.

The Liberty team was among hundreds of people who recently participated in the annual H2Ozarks Missouri Shoreline Cleanup. The volunteer effort helps to remove litter and debris from the shores of Lake Taneyecomo – along with Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals Rake.

The weather was perfect, making for a successful event. Thanks to our Liberty team members, Forsyth High School FBLA, and others, who showed up this year to help protect this gorgeous community resource. 💜🩵💚

Happy to show Missouri Southern State University Center for Advanced Professional Studies (MOSO CAPS) a behind the scenes look of our Kodiak Service center in Joplin, MO.

The MOSO CAPS program is a collaboration with area businesses and organizations that allows high-school juniors and seniors to become immersed in a professional culture that encourages creative thinking and problem solving. By partnering with business and community organizations, participants can develop strengths and leadership skills that prepare them for college and beyond. It also allows them to receive high-school and college credit upon successful completion.

At the service center, students toured the facility and learned about electric line operations; customer care; environmental health and safety; technical training; and warehousing.

It's exciting to see investments in education that will create opportunities close to home - Congratulations to Missouri Southern State University on the new Roy Blunt Health Science Innovation Center!

Liberty team members joined community leaders, educators, students, and alumni for the facility's ribbon-cutting. The new 72,000-square-foot center includes hands-on learning spaces and a simulated hospital environment designed to prepare students for careers in healthcare.

We were proud to support the capital campaign for this facility and join in the celebration. Investments like this help develop the next generation of healthcare professionals who will serve our communities for years to come.

Congratulations to MSSU and everyone who helped bring this project to life! 💚💛

Ever seen one of these? 👀 This is called a pipeline marker and you may notice them near roads, river crossings, or train tracks. If you see one of these, it means that there's an underground natural gas main nearby.

🟡 Standard marking color for natural gas facilities is yellow

🚫 Do not disturb or damage pipeline markers. If you see damage to a marker, report it using the company contact information listed on the marker.

⛏️ Do not dig near a marker. Utility markers aren't anyone's first choice for curb appeal, so it may be tempting to jazz them up with surrounding landscaping. Digging near the marker can be dangerous, as well as impede the view of the marker to first responders or utilities who need it clearly visible.
