Morongo Basin Ambulance Association, Inc. Proudly serving the Morongo Basin since 1948. We do not operate to maximize profit, but instead provide optimal service.

Morongo Basin Ambulance provides 9-1-1 emergency medical transportation and non-emergency medical transportation proudly serving communities in San Bernardino County and Riverside County. Founded in 1948 as a non-profit corporation, we are the sole provider of 9-1-1 emergency ambulance services to Joshua Tree, Joshua Tree National Park, Twentynine Palms, Morongo Valley, Pioneertown, Rimrock, Flamingo Heights, Landers, Johnson Valley, Wonder Valley and Amboy. As a non-profit corporation, all monies over and above operating costs are put back into the company and the communities we serve. As an employer of Paramedics, EMTs, Nurses and Dispatchers, we are a leader in the industry providing Advanced Life Support level care with Paramedics in our desert communities.

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, Morongo Basin Ambulance joins our community and our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the 2,977 innocent lives taken that day, including the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS professionals, military personnel, and countless others who answered the call to help.

For those of us in Emergency Medical Services, September 11 carries a special meaning. We remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were escaping it—many making the ultimate sacrifice in service to people they had never met.

We also remember the courage, compassion, and unity shown in the days that followed.

Twenty-five years later, their sacrifice has not been forgotten.

From all of us at Morongo Basin Ambulance, we pause today to honor the fallen, their families, the survivors, and every responder whose life was forever changed by that day.

We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

We bid farewell to Dr Kotran as he leaves the morongo basin for his new adventure in Ohio! As one of our local ED Physicians our crews worked closely with him during his time here! Dr Kotran was also instrumental in helping train our crews during the implementation of our POCUS (Field Ultrasound) program! We wish you well Samuel Nicholas ! 🎙️ Final Tone Out 🚑

After more than 33 years of dedicated service, today we gave one of our own his final tone out.

For decades, he answered every call with compassion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to serving the Morongo Basin community. He has touched countless lives, not only through the patients he cared for, but through the friendships, mentorship, and memories he leaves behind with our team.

As the radio signed off one final time, it marked the end of an incredible career and the beginning of a well earned retirement.

Thank you for your years of service, your dedication, and the legacy you’ve left with Morongo Basin Ambulance. We wish you nothing but happiness, health, and new adventures in this next chapter.

Congratulations on your retirement, you’ve earned it. ❤️🚑

The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is saddened to announce this morning’s passing of active-duty Fire Engineer Robert “BJ” Myers. BJ passed away peacefully with family, friends, his service dog “Scout”, and County Fire members by his side.

He served with honor, professionalism, and courage. He was a valued member of our Community Outreach and Support Team (C.O.A.S.T.), and a true public servant who demonstrated compassion and commitment to the community.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to his children, family, friends, and colleagues of Engineer Myers.

Funeral details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.
