Joshua ISD, in partnership with the Burleson Police Department, invites all parents and guardians to a powerful and eye-opening presentation: Protecting Our Kids in a Digital World.
When: 5:30 p.m. | Wednesday, November 18
Where: Joshua High School Cafeteria
This impactful session, led by law enforcement experts, will pull back the curtain on how predators use popular gaming apps, social media platforms, and messaging tools to target and groom children. You will learn firsthand how easily bad actors manipulate technology, including using AI to pose as children, and walk away with critical, real-world tools to spot the signs of cyberbullying, sextortion and online tracking.
Because this presentation uses explicit, real-life case examples, the material is sensitive and not appropriate for children.
Free childcare will be provided on-site by the Joshua High School National Honor Society to ensure parents can attend this vital meeting without distraction or worry. Spaces are limited, so please register your children at https://bit.ly/4Ba9FK3.
Don't let the devices in your home become an open door for danger. Join us on November 18 to learn how to effectively set safety boundaries, monitor apps, and have conversations that truly protect your family.
