Julian Mining Company A gem of an experience! On weekends we're open for various activities such as gold panning, gem sluicing, fossil dig pit, and tomahawk throwing.

Ride the ore cart train, relax by the pond with remote control boats, pan for gold, sluice for gems, try the BB or axe throwing range, enjoy the wild bird watching area, stroll through the orchard and relax under giant oak trees. In the fall, we have u-pick apples! We also conduct Gold Rush, Pioneer, Rev. War, Native American, Civil War and Creation Science Field Trips. Text the phone number to contact us!

Happy rainy Sunday, October 11! We are open today, but are expecting occasional showers off and on. Mixed weather reports call for 0 inches of rain between now and 5 PM, but we shall see! We had a great time with our families yesterday and have a completely covered deck where, even during heavy rain people were having a blast, panning for gold and pyrite, and even gems! And the Stellar Blue Jays still wanted their peanuts ๐Ÿ˜€

Fall into Julian this holiday weekend and come mine with us!

Hours this weekend (Oct. 9-12, 2026)

Friday: 1-4 October 9
Saturday: 10-4 October 10
Sunday: 10-4 October 11
Monday: 10-4 ๏ฟผOctober 12

Starting next weekend, we will also be open every Friday from 10 to 4. We're opening a little later this Friday because we have a private group from 10 AM until 1 PM.โ›๏ธ
