Always a pleasure working with our neighboring departments!

We want to thank all of the folks that came out to assist us with the Trail Race at Pipestem State Park today. Kody Lilly and Sonny Stracener from Station 31 JB Nimitz VFD, Loyd Lowry Emergency Services Director Summers County 911, and Jonathan Lipscomb Station 13 Summers County VFD, and John Crewey with Summers County EMS. We really appreciate all of your help!

Upgrade announcement! Through generous funding from Summers County Commission as well as money from the state we were able to make a very important upgrade to our portable radios. We purchased 10 Motorola APX 4000 radios as well as 4 Motorola APX 7000 radios. While these radios are functional now when the new Summers County SIRN tower goes live this will bridge the gap in radio communications and help us have better radio coverage throughout the entire county. We are grateful to all our supporters and membership that make us who we are. Without you all these vital equipment upgrades would not be possible.

We were able to secure a 80/20 grant to purchase 2 Stihl ms261 chainsaws, Dewalt battery blower, and a Dewalt drill and impact for our rescue truck. We are always working to secure funding to upgrade equipment to better serve our communities we cover!
