UPDATE 10/23: Great news! The replacement pumps have been installed and are fully operational. We are still in need of fosters and adopters to make space in our kennels as we are over 200% capacity for dogs.

A Letter from Our Director: We Need Your Help!
Hi Everyone,
We're dealing with an unexpected maintenance issue at our Jurupa Valley shelter, and I'm reaching out to ask for your help.
Here's what's happening. Two pumps at our facility have failed at the same time. While the situation is a little complicated, the bottom line is this: if we get heavy rain before the pumps are replaced, we risk water backing up into one of our kennel pods.
The good news? We're on it! Replacement pumps have already been sourced and are expected to arrive within a week, with installation anticipated within the following week. Our Facilities partners have always made our shelters a priority when issues arise, and we're grateful for their quick response and continued support.
In the meantime, we'd love your help getting the dogs in the potentially affected pod into loving homes.
Here's where you come in.
If you've been thinking about adopting or have room in your home to temporarily foster a dog weighing 40 pounds or more, now would be a wonderful time to step up!
Our kennels are already full, and finding homes for these dogs will help us get ahead of any potential issues without putting additional strain on our shelter.
I want to reassure everyone that we're taking this situation seriously and working closely with our Facilities team to get everything resolved as quickly as possible. We're simply asking for a little extra help from our community while we do.
If you're able to open your home to a shelter dog, we'd love to see you! Come on over to our Jurupa Valley shelter and meet some of the wonderful dogs waiting for a home.
And if you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call me directly.
Thank you, as always, for caring about our animals and supporting our shelters.
We couldn't do this work without you!
Sincerely,
Mary Martin
