What a fantastic turnout! Thank you to everyone who came to the Jackson County Library performance — from our local friends to visitors all the way from Denver and even Finland. We loved having each and every one of you.

A big shout‑out to our amazing performers, Kerry Grombacher and Aspen Black, whose talent and energy made the evening unforgettable.

Thank you to our Library Board for providing the yummy treats, and to everyone who contributed to the fun door prizes.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the South Dakota Arts Council for providing the grant that made this wonderful event possible.

Our community shines when we come together, and last night was a perfect example of that! 📚

The South Dakota Arts Council is bringing some entertainment to the Jackson County Library. The Western Troubadours duo will ride into Kadoka for an afternoon of contemporary folk and western music. Award-winning songwriters Kerry Grombacher and Aspen Black will perform their “Songs & Stories of the American West” concert at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30th. They are both multi-instrumentalists, and their works draw vivid portraits and tell fascinating stories that they accompany with guitars, bass, and mandolin.

Such a wonderful lady and a positive role model to us all. Let's all be like Dolly and support her memory by doing something positive for our communities, friends, or families.

The Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has gifted 300,000,00+ books since its inception 31 years ago, with 3,000,000+ given to children each month in FIVE COUNTRIES. Her wildly successful literacy initiative is a tribute to her father, whose inability to read "probably kept him from fulfilling all his dreams."

Dolly is a true librarian, and we salute her; she lived the truth through her Imagination Library-- "you can never get enough books into the hands of enough children."

Rest in Peace, Dolly. You made a big difference to a lot of us.

We had the great pleasure of hosting DeeDee Fox (aka: Dianna Young Fuchs) at the library on Wednesday morning. We had a great group of kids and adults that enjoyed her stories. She is returning this weekend at Lil' Bit of Everything (805 Main Street, Kadoka) for a book signing from 11:00 to 2:00.
