In celebration of Intersex Awareness Day, OutFront Kalamazoo and presenter Madi Jennings invites you to an educational presentation on intersex variations and what we can do to build a more positive future for intersex people.

Topics will include:
🟣 What it means to be intersex
🟣 The marginalization of intersex people
🟣 What equity and justice for intersex people looks like

We are looking for more volunteers to support our programs! If you are interested, please fill out our volunteer application by going to outfrontkzoo.org > Volunteer. For questions, email [email protected].

Q***r Women's Community Facilitator—plans monthly events for LGBTQIA+ women and woman-aligned folks. This group aims to provide a community-building space and meets on the third Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Proud Families Facilitator—plans and hosts monthly events for LGBTQIA+ families with young children. This group aims to provide playtime and social connection. Families with q***r adults, q***r kids, or both are all welcome at Proud Families. Meets on the third Saturday of the month from 10am to 12pm.

Seasons Support Volunteer—support the activities of Seasons (50+), our social networking group for LGBTQIA+ seniors. Volunteers (18+) are welcome to apply.

Pre-Pride Events Planning Volunteer—help us coordinate fun community events leading up to Kalamazoo Pride 2027!
Arts Programming Support Volunteer—help coordinate monthly displays of local LGBTQIA+ artists and plan quarterly art events.

Save the date for our All-Ages Drag Show: Spooky Edition! This family-friendly showcase features new and experienced drag performers alike. In collaboration with , this fall's event will take place on Saturday, November 7 at the WMU Student Center. Doors open at 4:30 pm and the show will start at 5 pm-- and don’t forget to tip your favorite performers!

UPCOMING EVENT | Medicare Enrollment Info Session

Join us on Sunday, October 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at OutFront Kalamazoo for a Medicare Enrollment Info Session in collaboration with the Area Agency on Aging- Kalamazoo. Learn about new Medicare policies, what documents you'll need to prepare, and what resources are available to you to enroll. Open enrollment for Medicare is October 15 through December 7.

💡Save the date! The Area Agency on Aging will have free Medicare counseling sessions at OutFront on Tuesday, November 17. Call 269-349-4234 to book your appointment now.

HAPPENING TODAY | Transforming Parents Open House & Social Hour

Transforming Parents is a peer-led group for parents of trans and gender-expansive people to build community and support one another on their parenting journeys.

Attend today's extended Transforming Parents meeting to tour the OutFront building and learn more about the organization beforehand and informally socialize with other parents and caregivers afterwards. Attend for as much or little as you'd like!

OutFront Open House: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Transforming Parents Peer Support Group Meeting: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Parents & Caregivers Social Hour: 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Come back on the second Sunday of each month from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for our usual Transforming Parents meetings!
