🍿 The MCBH community came together at the Island Holiday Night Market, hosted by MCCS. The event brought together friends and family with live music performances from the MARFORPAC band, food and drinks from various vendors and a kendama tournament.

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 25th Infantry Division, participated in fast rope insertion and extraction system training at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. FRIES allows units to rapidly deploy personnel and equipment into austere and restricted environments. This capability ensures operational readiness in regions where traditional ground routes and infrastructure are unavailable.

📍Marine Corps Base Hawaii (Oct. 2, 2026)

MCBH’s Environmental Compliance and Protection Division partnered up with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Pacific Region and Hamer Environmental, to release a rehabilitated Hawaiian short-eared owl, or pueo, at MCBH.

The pueo is an endangered species and its release supports ongoing efforts to monitor and protect native wildlife and conserve natural resources across the installation.
