Summer fun is rolling into the park! ☀️🌳Join us for our first Party in the Parks of the year on Wednesday, June 17 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Strasma Park (Aroma Park)!

Bring the whole family for a free evening of games, activities, music by House of Brooks, community fun, and burgers and hot dogs grilled by KVPD staff while supplies last. 🌭🎶

Rollin' Out will also be joining us with roller skating fun! Please note that roller skating requires an additional fee, with all payments and skating details handled directly through Rollin’ Out.

Summer nights are getting a soundtrack at Splash Valley Aquatic Park! 🎶💦 We’re kicking off our first Music on the Deck night on Wednesday, June 10 from 5:30–7:30 pm with RCP Duo.

Featuring Robby Celestin of The Robby Celestin Project, RCP Duo brings live acoustic covers, crowd interaction, storytelling, and the kind of feel-good energy that makes a summer night even better. Robby is a Chicago-based vocalist, MC, showman, and storyteller who has performed everywhere from the White House to international stages and USO tours.

KVPD’s Outdoor Recreational Pickleball League is heading to the Beckman Park Pickleball Courts this summer, and it’s the perfect excuse to get outside, play a few matches, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Join us September 4–6, 2026 for the APBA Outboard Nationals featuring fast boats, riverfront fun, family-friendly excitement, and plenty of reasons to spend the weekend along the Kankakee River.
