It is with great pleasure that our organization introduces you to Women In Networking (WIN), an affiliate of the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce.
Women in Networking was developed and created by a group of women who strive to support the Kankakee County Community. A vision was set in place by a steering committee in November of 2011. Scholarship Opportunity! DEADLINE approaching quickly-September 30, 2021.
The Women in Networking (WIN) Scholarship will present its recipient on November 18, 2021 at the Women in Networking Leading Ladies’ Luncheon at the Kankakee Country Club. The WIN scholarship is for $1000 paid directly to the school and may be used for books, tuition or fees.
Women who live and/or work in Kankakee County area who are going back to college to retrain, to complete a degree or certificate program, to improve skills needed in the workplace or to complete an advanced degree are encouraged to apply. Applications are available on the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce website (https://www.kankakeecountychamber.com/events/athena-awards) or by contacting one of the WIN Board members.
Complete applications must be received by September 30, 2021. All applications must include the application form, two essays on specific subjects as indicated on application, two letters of recommendation and an official transcript from last educational institution attended. (All as outlined on WIN Scholarship application form)
Funds for the WIN Scholarship come from private donations and from fund-raising activities conducted by the WIN organization. WIN Scholarship funds are invested with the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley.
The Leading Ladies’ Luncheon will be held at the Kankakee Country Club on November 18, 2021 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. The cost of the luncheon is $35.00/individual or $300 for a table of 8 plus an ad in the program book. To register, visit the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce website at www.kankakeecountychamber.com.

The organization was formed to give all women in the Kankakee County area a venue for meeting new people, networking, learning, growing, serving and having fun together. WIN has events at Adventure Commons in Bradley from 11:30 AM – 1 PM on a Thursday monthly September through June. Our meetings include a light meal, the opportunity to spend time networking, a short business meeting, and a program on topics of interest to women in the area. Please check our page for luncheon dates.
All women who live and/or work in Kankakee County and guests are always welcome. WIN attendees may prepay for the year for $100 or Chamber members pay $15 per event and non-Chamber members pay $25 per event. We offer special service projects in the area and special meetings during the year that may include an additional charge for materials used. WIN includes Change for Community Change, a project that benefits a different 501c3 organization/agency in the county. These agencies primarily benefit women and children. WIN also has a monthly service project where members bring donations of items to benefit a particular organization each month.
