Unfortunately, we find ourselves here again, this time at Hawkins Park off of Tower Road. Someone has driven through the park, leaving ruts in the open public space. They also ran over some of the new trees we planted last year. Why?...
We are thankful no one was hurt, and the grass will grow back in time, but it is embarrassing that people feel the need to do this. Personal responsibility and accountability for actions seems devoid, and that is disheartening.
If you know something about this, please let us know. We do our best to keep the parks nice and safe for the community.

As our community continues to clean up after storms and assess damage, we must also address damage caused by folks around our park who ignore rules and place little value on our public parks. This is just one example among several areas at Limestone Park from over the weekend.
Motorized vehicles of any kind are not allowed on our trails or anywhere outside of the designated parking lots. Please care for and show respect for the common areas in our community, whether they be our parks or others across the region.
