On February 7th, 2008 The Kankakee Township Fire Protection District and Kankakee Township Firefighters Association lost Chief Matthew Hubly in the LODD. Chief Hubly was a great and loved man by the community that he served to protect. He taught many people different things in life whether it be in the Fire Service or just in life itself. Chief Hubly served as President of the Association from 1997 through 2000. Chief Hubly took the Association to great heights that it had never seen before. Chief Hubly's two sons Lieutenant Aaron Hubly (Current President) and Engineer Noah Hubly (Current Secretary) are doing the same as well moving the Association towards new heights and goals. He is greatly missed by everyone and as most people would say they all miss that contagious laugh. R.I.P Chief Matthew Hubly Never Forgotten!!!
