YOUR VOTE. YOUR VOICE. YOUR POWER!

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 — Election Day!

As we prepare to vote, let us remember the sacrifices of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Jesse Jackson, and John Lewis. Their courage helped pave the way for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Their fight mattered. Their sacrifice mattered. NOW, IT’S OUR TURN!

Let us honor their legacy by registering, educating ourselves on the issues, and making our voices heard at the ballot box. Every vote is an opportunity to protect our future and strengthen our democracy.

MAKE A PLAN. SHOW UP. VOTE!

Your vote is your voice. Your voice is your power!

The NAACP Kankakee County Branch mourns the passing of Toby Olszewski, a trailblazer whose courage and commitment helped open doors for our community.

Her leadership and example shaped Kankakee County and inspired many who followed her. Her legacy will continue to guide our work for justice, equity, and opportunity.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all who loved her. May she rest in peace and power.
