Last week, the Kansas City Kansas Community College Police Department had the privilege of hosting the FBI-LEEDA Five Star Chief Executive Leadership Institute, led by two amazing instructors, Dr. Todd Radford and Dr. Ben Boeke.

In addition to hosting, Interim Chief Roland and Sergeant Bailie were among the law enforcement professionals in attendance. The training focused on executive leadership, strategic decision-making, organizational management, and the challenges facing today’s law enforcement leaders.

It was a great opportunity to strengthen leadership skills, share experiences, and build relationships with professionals from other agencies.

We look forward to hosting the second week of the Chief Executive Leadership Institute at the end of November, continuing our commitment to leadership development and professional growth.

Wednesday morning, Sgt. Swearingen had the privilege of teaching CPR and First Aid to the High Voltage Lineman class at TEC 1.

Students received hands-on instruction and practiced important life-saving skills that can make a difference during an emergency. For students preparing to enter the high-voltage lineman profession, knowing how to recognize an emergency, provide immediate care, and perform CPR is an important part of being prepared on the job.

KCKCC PD is proud to partner with our campus programs and provide training that helps keep our students and community safe. 💙

🚨🏅 Supporting a Great Cause with Great People! 🏅🚨

Sgt. Swearingen had a fantastic time attending the Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run Hero's Pull benefiting Special Olympics Kansas. The event brought together Special Olympics athletes and teams of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and community members from across the metro area in support of an incredible cause.

It was an honor to spend time with the athletes and witness the enthusiasm they brought while cheering on the teams. Their energy, determination, and support helped make the event truly special. Events like these are a powerful reminder of the positive impact the Law Enforcement Torch Run has in supporting Special Olympics athletes throughout Kansas.

A special welcome to the Johnson County Community College Police Department as they join the Law Enforcement Torch Run family. We are excited to have you as part of the LETR team and look forward to working together to support Special Olympics Kansas for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make the Hero's Pull such a success. Together, we continue to champion inclusion, strengthen our communities, and make a difference.
