Congrats Joseph! Thanks all the guidance the Douglas Behavioral health court program provides.

Today, Joseph graduated from the Douglas County Behavioral Health Court program and was recognized during a ceremony in the Division 6 courtroom.

He’s pictured with the Behavioral Health Court team, Judge Stacey Donovan, who presides over the specialty court, and members of Artists Helping The Homeless – all celebrating his achievement!

What another wonderful Sunday! We had an amazing sermon at COR. Always the best way to start off a new week. The park today had a Hugh turnout on this absolute gorgeous day. We served over 135 people and ran out of literally every type of food available in JUAT over an hour. The line was non stop! Last we get to celebrate Jared Hartman on his 18 months of sobriety! It was an amazing testimony, and are so honored to be a part of your progress. Amen!

So thankful to be out here meeting support needs every day. To top it all off, I got to spend some quality time with my team celebrating our Halloween decorations! 🎃👻✨

We want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout and congratulations to Tim Shoulderblade! 🎉
Tim is celebrating 4 years of sobriety today! 🙌 We are so grateful to have him as a part of our program and as a client/staff for the last 3 years. On top of that, he's also celebrating 3 years of hard work and dedication at AHH!
Tim, thank you for your commitment, your hard work, and for being such an inspirational part of our community. Here’s to many more milestones ahead! 💙💪

What an incredible time at the Peer Summit! We gathered, shared, and learned so much together. Here are a few key takeaways from the event:
• Real Talk on Recovery: Recovery isn't a straight line, and pretending it is doesn't help anyone. We talked openly about the ups and downs, staying grounded, and being completely realistic about the work it takes every single day.
• Laughter as Medicine: Our featured comedian MARK LUNDHOLM had the entire room in stitches! Laughter was the perfect reminder that even when dealing with heavy topics, finding joy and humor is essential to healing.
• Community & Connection: Seeing so many peers come together to support one another, break down stigma, and build real connections was easily the best part of the summit.
A massive thank you to everyone who attended, spoke, and helped make this event unforgettable! Keep supporting each other, keep keeping it real, and remember—you don't have to walk this road alone. 💙

What an insightful session at the Peer Summit Conference! 🧠💡
We had the opportunity to dive deep into the neurobiology of gambling and addiction. Here are four key takeaways from the presentation:

🎰 Gambling IS an addiction: Neurobiologically, it is equivalent to substance use disorders. 🧠 Dopamine encodes prediction, not just pleasure: Uncertainty acts as the true engine of compulsion. 🔄 Brain Remodeling: Tolerance and craving actively reshape the brain. 🛑 Loss of Control: Prefrontal failure essentially "releases the brakes" on impulse control.
