Representatives of the Metropolitan Leadership Institute's Board of Directors took time out their day to recognize a KCKCC student with their inaugural Collegiate Women's Award!! 🏆
This group of amazing women came together out of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to begin the Metropolitan Leadership Institute in 2011 to positively impact education, health, and economic well-being in the community. Its board of directors represent fields of expertise across many sectors, and we are grateful to include them as mentors for Kansas City Kansas Community College students.

Don’t miss Apply Free Days…. November 7th - 9th!
KCKCC is among the 32 public colleges and universities as well as some private institutions in Kansas that are participating in Kansas Apply Free Days Nov. 7-9. Students will be able to apply to all level of post-secondary education with all fees removed as a way to remove the barriers to higher education.
By removing barriers for students to achieve a degree or certificate, Kansas can help residents take that first step into continuing their education and increase the number of students who complete their programs and enter the workforce with a degree or competitive skills.

Tiblow Days in Bonner Springs, Kansas has always been a family tradition. It’s a great, fun festival.
We have run in the 5K Tiblow trot…(well I’ve walked and cheered my son on during the run🤣) we’ve played in the band, made and ridden on floats, rode cars in the parade, sold things in the NAACP booth, and ate and bought a lot!
This year, I announced my candidacy for Kansas City Kansas Community College Board of Trustees! It was so special to start campaigning in the town of my high school Alma Mater Bonner Springs High School.
The memories are fresh as we move into the future.
