A huge thank you to Brian Barton, MC Power Companies, Inc., and the team of employees who took time out of their day to volunteer and serve lunch to our staff! We’re also grateful to We Got It Covered Food Services for providing a delicious meal.

Our monthly Staff Appreciation & Self-Care Lunches are more than just a meal. They are an opportunity for staff to step away from the difficult work they do every day, connect with one another, and feel valued and appreciated. Many of our team members regularly experience the effects of secondary trauma, making these moments of care and encouragement especially meaningful.
Thank you for supporting CPC staff who care each day for children and families throughout our community.

Helping children heal. Preventing violence. Building a safer community. 💙

Jackson County Combat funding supports Child Protection Center’s work with children who have experienced abuse or witnessed violence, including forensic interviews that help children be heard and support law enforcement investigations.

On November 3, vote YES to renew Jackson County’s existing quarter-cent COMBAT sales tax for another 10 years. Your vote supports vital services at CPC and prevention, treatment, and public safety programs across Jackson County.

In September CPC once again hosted the CSEC Coalition coffee hour, bringing together local nonprofit organizations, law enforcement, Children’s Division, and Children’s Mercy Hospital.

The CSEC Coalition works collaboratively to disrupt, prevent, and respond to the commercial sexual exploitation of children through training, education, and partnership.

These coffee hours give coalition members the chance to connect outside of the day-to-day work, strengthen relationships, and welcome new members from across our community.

A huge thank you to our generous sponsors, Aurora Café & Bakery for the incredible conchas and The Roasterie Kansas City's Coffee Company for the delicious coffee that kept the conversations flowing. We’re grateful for your support of our community.

Rebecca, CPC's Prevention Specialist, and Tori, our Prevention Intern from the University of Kansas, joined early childhood home visiting partners to celebrate the important work being done for children and families. They participated in professional development and learned about community resources that help strengthen family support systems and support positive outcomes for children.
