October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. These causes affect many people, and ongoing awareness can encourage support, education, and access to resources.

You may see our deputies wearing pink badges this month as a visible sign of support. Our specialty pink and purple vehicles also patrol year-round, helping keep these important causes in view. 💜🩷

Last Thursday, we celebrated Lieutenant Rayshunda White’s retirement after 29 years of dedicated service to the Sheriff’s Office in our Juvenile Detention Center (JDC). Thank you, Lieutenant White, for your years of commitment and for being an asset to JDC. You will be missed, and we wish you all the best in retirement! 💙

- We honored the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 with fellow neighbors

- Had training with another local Sheriff's Office
- Attended the Bonner Springs Fire Department Open House
