Rural Health Care Spotlight: Tyrel Somers Tyrel Somers, M.D., fulfills an essential role mentoring new doctors and students in real-world clinical settings.

Working with medical students so that they can experience rural health care. Helping to cultivate the next rural provider. Dr. Somers was recognized this past summer by the University of Kansas Medical Center for his willingness to work with students at the Physicians Clinic.

Congrats to Dr. Guernsey of Chanute KS, finalist for the Ad Astra Award. We appreciate his dedication to teaching our medical students.
