You left the diagnosis appointment with a stack of referrals, a list of therapies, and acronyms you'd never heard before — and somehow you were already supposed to know what to do next.
THAT WAS ME TOO.....
After my kids were diagnosed, I did what any parent would do. I tried to do *everything*. All the therapies. All the evaluations. Every recommendation on that list — at once, as fast as possible.
Because what kind of parent wouldn't?
I wasn't sleeping. I wasn't present. I was running from appointment to appointment, researching at midnight, and quietly falling apart — all while telling myself I was helping them.
I wasn't.
I was BURNING OUT And burnt-out parents can't show up the way their kids need them to.
The shift didn't come from finding a better therapy or getting the perfect IEP. It came from changing the question I was asking.
I stopped asking *"Am I doing enough?"*
And I started asking *"What does my child need right now?"*
That one question changed EVERYTHING.
Here's what I want you to hear:
You are not behind.
The feeling that you're already failing, already missing something, already running late on a race that started without you — that feeling is real. But it's not the truth.
The truth is that you cannot do everything at once. Nobody can. And trying to is not advocacy. It's survival mode with a to-do list attached.
What actually moves things forward isn't doing *more.* It's doing what matters *most, right now* — for your specific child, in your specific season.
That means asking:
→ What is my child struggling with the most today?
→ What would make the biggest difference in our daily life right now?
→ What can I realistically focus on without burning out in the process?
You don't have to solve the next five years today.
You just have to find the next step.
That's it. One step. Then the next one.

This is exactly where I start with every family inside the SPECTRUM NEXT STEPS ROADMAP — helping you get out of "do everything" mode and into "what matters most right now" mode.
The first module is free. No commitment. Just a starting point that actually feels like one.
