Do you have unused/unwanted/expired drugs in your cabinets?

Good news! We will be hosting a Drug Take Back Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 24th! 🚨 Residents can drop off items at our station set up in the City Hall parking lot (711 Main Street, Grain Valley, MO).

Please note that liquids, syringes/sharps, illegal drugs, and inhalers will NOT be accepted!

In addition to this event, we will also be hosting a shredding event for Grain Valley residents. This allows residents to dispose of any unwanted/invalid confidential documents. All materials must be boxed/bagged and free from things such as staples or binding.

We have received reports of a scammer impersonating the Grain Valley Police Department and contacting residents, claiming they have a bond to post.

Caller ID can be spoofed, and scammers are getting smarter. A call displaying GVPD’s phone number does not necessarily mean the call is actually coming from us.

Please be aware: GVPD will NEVER call residents to request payment. We do not accept payments over the phone, and we will never ask for confidential or sensitive information over the phone.

If you receive a suspicious call, do not provide personal or financial information or send any money. If you believe you have been targeted by this scam, please report it by calling us at (816) 847-6250.
