On this Memorial Day, GMR pauses to honor those who gave their lives in service to the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice and unwavering dedication to our nation will forever be remembered. We are grateful for their legacy and hold their families in our thoughts today.

Day 7 of EMS Week is for EMS Remembrance Day. Reflection on those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives within the line of duty. This is a day to remember those of our friends and co-workers who are no longer with us. On June 10th, AMR KC Metro will host the National EMS Memorial Service Moving Honors Procession in Penn Valley Park, Kansas City MO (More details to follow) as part of our commitment to remembering those who gave their lives while helping others.

As we close out EMS week, thank you to each and every EMS provider at every level. What you do day in and day out is critical to our communities. Thank you for all you do.

Day 6 of EMS Week is dedicated to those who go above and beyond the call of duty. Those whose dedication make them the example to follow. Each year GMR honors a number of employees across the country through our Stars of Life program to showcase employees across the country. In 2025, our very own Aaron Goodloe was honored!

Day 5 of EMS Week is dedicated to Saving a Life - Learn CPR! The life you save may be one that is near and dear to you. Learn about Stop the Bleed! Again, the life you save may be one that is near and dear to you.

Today on National Stop the Bleed Day, GMR encourages everyone to get trained, speak up and help prepare their communities to respond confidently in a bleeding emergency. Even a few
minutes of learning can make a lifesaving difference, whether you take a local training course or review basic bleeding control techniques at home.
In an emergency, remember the essentials of Stop the Bleed: Alert, Bleeding, Compress. Knowing these steps can empower anyone to take action when it matters most.

The 4th day of EMS week is for the Children! - Kids are the future and we have to protect them. Whether it comes to preventing accidents and illness or taking care of them when bad things happen, we have to be ready. Kids aren't just little adults and need special care and treatment. Things like the right car seat, keeping medications secure and out of reach, knowing what to do in the case of emergencies and for responders, knowing the appropriate treatments for our most precious patients are critical. Remember working together we keep them safe.

Day Three of EMS Week is one word - SAFETY - This is both for the community and the responder. We work with our employees constantly to ensure that they have the tools to do their jobs safely and have the training to do it safely. In the communities we serve, we try to spread awareness, such as heat safety in the summer, camping safety, and Cold weather safety through community events and Social Media posts.
