🚒🔥 FIRE PREVENTION FUN AT KANSASVILLE FIRE & RESCUE! 🔥🚒
What a great morning at Kansasville Fire & Rescue! We were excited to welcome students from Kansasville School to the fire station for a hands-on morning of learning, fun, and fire prevention!

👨‍🚒👩‍🚒
The students got a behind-the-scenes look at our day-to-day operations and learned what it takes to be a firefighter. We covered important fire safety topics, including:

🏠 EDITH – Exit Drills In The Home — having a plan and knowing two ways out!

🔋 Safe Battery Charging — learning how to safely charge batteries and prevent fires.

🚨 Fire Drills & Emergency Preparedness — being prepared before an emergency happens.
🧯 Putting Out Fires — students got to experience what it’s like to be a firefighter and put out fires!

🏃‍♀️🚒 Firefighter Challenge Relay — teamwork, speed, and a whole lot of fun!
The students did an amazing job learning, asking questions, working together, and showing us their firefighter skills! ❤️🖤

A huge THANK YOU to Kansasville School for spending the morning with us and helping us spread the message that fire safety starts with being prepared!
Learn. Practice. Be Prepared. Stay Safe! 🔥🚒

🚒🔥 Fire Prevention at Brighton School! 🔥🚒

Kansasville Fire & Rescue had a great time visiting Brighton School to talk with students about an important part of fire safety — having a plan before an emergency happens.

👨‍🚒🏠 We taught the kids about EDITH — Exit Drills In The Home — and the importance of knowing two ways out, having a designated meeting place, and practicing their escape plan with their families.

🚨 We also put their knowledge into action with a fire drill! The students did an amazing job safely exiting the building and following their fire drill procedures. We were very impressed with how well they did!

🔋⚡ We also talked about safe battery charging, including the importance of charging devices safely and recognizing potential fire hazards.

🚒 The students got an up-close look at our fire apparatus, learned about the equipment we use, and even got to see firefighters don their protective gear. It’s always fun to show kids that firefighters may look and sound different in their gear, but they are there to help!

A huge thank-you to Brighton School for inviting Kansasville Fire & Rescue to spend the day with your students! We love having the opportunity to teach fire safety, answer questions, and help our community’s youngest members become fire-safety smart. ❤️🧯

Remember: Have a plan. Practice your plan. Get out and stay out! 🚨🏠

We Will Never Forget — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, Kansasville Fire and Rescue pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the incredible courage and sacrifice shown on that tragic day.

We especially remember the 343 FDNY firefighters, along with the law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, and countless others who ran toward danger when others were running to safety.

Twenty-five years later, their courage, service, and sacrifice continue to inspire those of us who answer the call today.

May we also remember the unity our nation showed in the days that followed—neighbors helping neighbors, communities coming together, and Americans standing as one.

To the families who lost loved ones, to the survivors, and to all who continue to carry the memories of that day, we remember with you.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. 9•11•2001 🇺🇸

**NEW DELIVERY ANNOUNCEMENT**

Kansasville Fire and Rescue is excited to announce the arrival of the new Kansasville Engine 521. After nearly five years of contract delays, we are proud to have this new apparatus here in Kansasville.

This 2026 Seagrave replaces the previous 521, a 1993 E-One that served the Town of Dover and the Town of Brighton for 33 years. The longevity of our previous engine is a testament to the dedication our members show in maintaining our equipment.

The new engine was built with the next 30 years in mind. Key features include:

- Durability: A stainless steel cab and body, with a dipped frame to withstand harsh winter conditions.
- Capacity: A water tank double the size of the previous engine and a 20-gallon foam tank.
- Efficiency: Preconnected hose lines that can be deployed by a single firefighter, addressing current and future staffing needs.

Please join us at our pancake breakfast this Sunday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM to see the new engine up close. Thank you for your continued support.
